Gingerbread Littleversityis a licensed childcare center seeking a School Age Teacherto support our K-5 classrooms!
Qualifications
- A completed bachelor's or associate's degree in early childhood or elementary education
- An associate's degree with 12 credits of early/elementary childhood education
- An individual currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in early/elementary childhood education
- Early childhood credentials and experience
Required Shift
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
The School Age Teacher will be required to drive the passenger van.
Applicants must also be 21+ years of age.
Compensation
$15 - $18 per hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities
- Supervision of school age children and meeting the daily physical, emotional and social needs of the children in their care
- Driving children to and from school and occasionally for classroom field trips
- Arranging lesson plans and curriculum on a weekly basis in coordination with the monthly theme and that meet the developmental needs of the children and that meet the expectations of SACERS (School Age Care Environmental Rating Scales)
- Establishing a professional level of communication with each family member to provide quality care for each child
- On-going communication in all aspects relating to the children in their room with the parents and the Center Director is crucial for quality care
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
- Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
