About the role
BHN is currently seeking a School Age Teacher to join our Kidstop Children Center, supporting children ages 5 to 13 years old through high-quality care and enriching educational experiences.
Responsibilities
- Share responsibility for the care, supervision, and development of school-age children while working closely with the Lead Teacher, Teacher’s Aide, and Center Director.
- Plan and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote social, physical, and intellectual development.
- Follow EEC-approved curriculum and daily schedules set by the Center Director.
- Ensure a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment in compliance with licensing standards.
- Support children’s daily routines including structured activities, free play, meals, and transitions.
- Communicate effectively with parents, families, and staff regarding children’s progress and needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff.
- Follow all EEC policies and procedures including safety, behavior management, and special needs support.
- Complete required documentation such as incident and mandated reports.
- Participate in professional development and maintain required EEC training hours.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and center events.
- Collaborate with team members to support classroom goals and address challenges.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Must meet EEC qualifications for School Age Group Leader.
- 1+ year of childcare or classroom experience preferred.
- CPR, First Aid, and Food Safety certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).

Pay
Hourly: $22.50
