Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree with specialty in art preferred or increasing experience in the field
A strong record of practice, a willingness to take risks, a desire to look beyond traditional disciplines, and a dedication to making a difference
Proven experience with interdisciplinary and innovative project design in art projects
Experience working with adolescents
Enthusiasm for exploring new trends and tools for learning
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement programming in art through a student-centered approach.
Maintain a safe, healthy, creative, supportive, and collaborative learning environment for students
Align activities with student interests and allow for flexibility in content week to week
Maintain program materials and equipment as appropriate
Assist in assessing student learning to evaluate program effectiveness
Actively participate in staff meetings and Professional Development
Create and maintain in-house Standard Operating Procedure documentation for commonly-used materials and equipment
Other duties as assigned
