Join Whiz Kids Child Development Center
We're seeking a dynamic School Age Lead Teacher to bring their passion for early childhood education to our team of caring and creative care givers. Our ideal schedule is Monday to Friday, Split shift: 6:30-9:00 A.M. and 2:00-5:00 P.M. Shift times may vary to accommodate lesson planning and other responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
- Collaborate with peers and associates to deliver age-appropriate activities
- Care for children's basic needs and ensure their well-being
- Moderate conflicts and promote a positive environment
- Model behaviors that reflect our center's values and philosophies
- Encourage open communication with staff and parents
- Participate in ongoing education and center events to stay up-to-date on best practices
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all children and staff
Requirements
- A clear criminal record
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a similar setting
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- A warm and approachable demeanor
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for early childhood development
Nice to Have
- An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- First aid certification per CT requirements
- CPR certification per CT requirements
- MEDICATION certification per CT requirements
