About the role
The Old Colony YMCA has brought people together in communities throughout Massachusetts for 130 years. This position offers the opportunity to work with children in a fun, safe, and educational environment, helping them to be innovative, creative, try new things, laugh, play, and build lasting relationships with caring adult role models. The School Age Group Leader will assist in supervising the program and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children, while reflecting the mission and beliefs of the Old Colony Y.
Responsibilities
- Understand and ensure EEC regulations as well as Old Colony Y policies (Child and Youth Care Policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy) are maintained at all times.
- Assist with planning, developing, and implementing the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations and Old Colony YMCA’s policies.
- Meet with School Age Site Coordinator as directed.
- Serve as an EEC regulation bus monitor to supervise children to and/or from school.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Evidence of physical examination within the last 12 months.
Schedule
Before school program: 7:00 AM until school begins. Afternoon program: school dismissal (approximately 3:00 PM) until 6:00 PM.
