Description

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Staff for their After School Programs at Stuart Elementary School in Stuart, VA for the 2026–2027 school year. Key Success Characteristics include loving working with children, bringing energy, kindness, and patience, enjoying encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence, working well with teammates, and communicating effectively with families. The position is also suitable for parents, education majors, or retirees.

Position Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model
  • Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Qualifications

  • Must pass a Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) background check
  • Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)
  • Maintain a warm, friendly, and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs., and actively engage in all activities required to safely supervise and keep up with children
