School Age Childcare Site Supervisor – Before & After School
About the role
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School Age Childcare Site Supervisor for our After School Program at Netherwood Elementary School in Hyde Park, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for someone who loves working with kids and helping them learn through play and positive experiences.
This position is especially well-suited for parents seeking a schedule that aligns with the school day, education majors or future teachers looking for hands-on experience with children and classroom management, and retirees who enjoy staying active, mentoring children, and giving back to the community.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will bring energy, kindness, and patience to each day, enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence, work well with teammates, and communicate effectively with families. They will be reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care.
Success in this role will be measured by program quality, staffing, compliance, and inventory management. The site supervisor will ensure that kids are engaged, safe, and having fun every day, the program reflects Healthy Kids Program’s model, and families consistently choose to re-enroll.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat with exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children

Pay and Schedule
The pay for this position is $16.50 per hour. The schedule follows the school calendar, with opportunities available for morning (7:00 - 9:45 am), afternoon (3:30 - 6:30 pm), or both programs.
