About the role

The Site Director is the heart of a Healthy Kids Programs location. You'll lead the daily operations of the site by creating a safe, engaging program that children love and families trust. You'll support and coach your team, build strong relationships with families and school partners, and ensure the program meets Healthy Kids Programs' quality standards and all licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Loves working with children and helping them learn through play and positive experiences
  • Bridges the gap between parents and schools by communicating regularly with families
  • Supports and coaches the team to help them grow professionally and personally
  • Ensures the program meets Healthy Kids Programs' quality standards and all licensing requirements
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with families and school partners
  • Ensures the site is fully staffed every day
  • Manages the inventory of supplies and materials needed for the program
  • Ensures compliance with state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
  • Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
  • Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus
  • Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required
  • Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances
