School Age Childcare Assistant – Before & After School
LOCATION: Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School in Pittsburgh, PA

$13.50 - $14.50 per hour
Schedule
Follows the school calendar
- Morning Program: 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM
- Afternoon Program: 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.
About the Role
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
- Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
- Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB test
- Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
