School-Age Childcare Assistant – Before & After School
Location & Schedule
- Location: Marie Curie Institute in Amsterdam, NY
- Schedule: Follows the school calendar; Morning Program: 7:00 - 8:30 am; Afternoon Program: 2:45 - 6:00 pm. Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.
- Status: Part-time, non-exempt
- Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Programs at Marie Curie Institute for the 2026–2027 school year. Do you love working with kids?

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
