School Age Childcare Assistant – Before & After School
LOCATION: Knowlton Township Elementary School in Delaware, NJ

$16.00 per hour
Schedule
- Morning Program: 7:00 - 8:40 am
- Afternoon Program: 2:45 - 6:00 pm
Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.
About the Role
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Programs at our Knowlton Township Elementary School in Delaware, NJ location for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position is especially well-suited for:

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required
- Must successfully pass all required state background checks.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
