School Age Child Care Staff

About the role

We are looking for candidates who enjoy working with school-aged youth in a variety of activities, including but not limited to swimming, gym games, crafts, team-building activities, homework help, and walking field trips.

The YMCA runs after-school sites at Letchworth Elementary, Perry Elementary, and the Warsaw YMCA.

Responsibilities

• Engage with school-aged youth in structured and unstructured activities
• Lead or assist with swimming, gym games, crafts, and team-building exercises
• Provide homework help
• Participate in walking field trips
• Adapt to different site locations as needed

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be responsible, reliable, and flexible regarding work location
• Must have own transportation
• Must pass OCFS requirements, including background check and fingerprinting
• Experience working with youth is a plus

Schedule

The program runs Monday through Friday afternoons.
