About the role
To assist the Surgical staff with Clerical duties and posting OR cases. Routine contacts include patients, physicians, hospital staff, outside health agencies, and the community. Responsible for making sure the schedule runs smoothly and addresses issues related to this. Accurately transcribe physician orders and complete the admission medical record process. This is not an all inclusive list of assigned duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Five years clerical, computer experience, and medical terminology required
- Good customer service and attention to detail required
- Good telephone and communication skills a must
Patient population
- Birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 to 11 years of age
- Adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age
- Adult patients between 18 to 64 years
- Geriatric patients 65 years and older
