About the role
Manage pipeline nominations, volumetric balances and other related activities. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, highly motivated individual with desire to contribute knowledge, ideas and continued learning.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scheduling Process – Must be proficient in all aspects of the scheduling process for natural gas pipelines including nominations, scheduling, trade confirmations and allocations
- Accurately complete cycle nominations in an efficient and timely manner.
- Develop working relationships with counterparties that include an understanding of their business objectives.
- Perform as a strategic liaison in helping develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, pipelines, utilities, and suppliers
- Understand contractual rights and types of services as defined by the tariffs and apply those concepts to the scheduling process.
- Ensure positions are accurately and timely recorded in trade management systems
- Monitor and advise on pipeline capacity release opportunities
- Monitor and advise on pipeline outages and maintenance notices and schedules
- Communicate market information with trading and identify arbitrage and trade opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- One plus years of Natural Gas scheduling or relevant experience.
- Understanding of the natural gas pipeline industry’s scheduling processes.
- Understanding of the commercial aspects of the natural gas industry, with a comprehensive understanding of the commercial aspects of Tallgrass’ business.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
Skills
- Strong skills in problem recognition, troubleshooting and resolution capability
- Analyze, evaluate and understand all impacts of potential solutions, being able to provide multiple alternatives with sound recommendations.
- Recognize business opportunities and understand how to turn them into revenue opportunities.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and the impacts on scheduling.
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of tariffs, counterparty contracts.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook, SharePoint, Molecule.
- Familiarity preferred for pipeline scheduling software: Quorum, Actenum, Pipedrive, CSI, DART etc.

Pay
Compensation ranges are provided in good faith based on what we anticipate when researching wages for this position at the state and national levels. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
Schedule
Required availability (currently Day, Evening, Weekend, including Holidays) to provide gas scheduling coverage 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Shift assignment, will rotate based on group need. Required to work On-Call duty and non-traditional hours as needed.
