SCHEDULER/MHT

Willow Springs Center seeks a Scheduler to ensure appropriate staffing, complete accurate payroll, coordinate the skills training program, provide clerical support to nursing leadership, and maintain records for milieu staff and meetings. This role collaborates with leadership to monitor position control and maintain adequate staffing within pre-approved FTE parameters. The Scheduler may also work on the units as a Resident Mentor as needed.

Required orientation is 2 weeks long, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm before starting your work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate staffing and complete accurate payroll.
• Coordinate the skills training program and provide clerical support to nursing leadership.
• Maintain records for milieu staff and meetings impacting staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to monitor position control and maintain staffing within FTE parameters.
• Work as a Resident Mentor on the units as needed, including:
  • Observing patient behavior to monitor treatment plan effectiveness and document progress.
  • Assisting with programs, activities of daily living, recreational opportunities, and meals.
  • Acting as a role model for patients (ages 6–17) by demonstrating appropriate behavior and active listening.
  • Establishing therapeutic relationships through one-on-one interactions to achieve treatment goals.
  • Protecting patients' rights, reporting violations, and addressing suspected abuse or neglect.
  • Responding to safety and security issues per established procedures.
  • Transporting patients to appointments and outings using company vehicles.
  • Maintaining a safe therapeutic environment and restraining patients who pose a threat to themselves or others.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the mental health arena; inpatient or outpatient psychiatry experience preferred.
