About the Role

Acts as a medical secretary supporting the medical director by scheduling patient care activities, managing communications, and providing clerical support to the clinical team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing daily patient and physician appointments, ordering labs and diagnostic tests.
  • Handling telephone inquiries, transcribing, distributing correspondence, and coordinating meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Assisting with patient check-outs, scheduling follow-ups, verifying referrals, and managing patient care policies.
  • Maintaining cash drawer, reconciling balances, preparing deposits, and acting as Super User for Electronic Medical Records.
  • Training new schedulers and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or Medical Secretary Certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of medical office experience and 1 year of scheduling experience required.
  • Proficiency with office equipment, Microsoft Office Suite, and strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality.
