Scale Operator

About the role

Weigh-scale operator position at our Golden, CO location. You’ll be the first point of contact for drivers and customers, ensuring accurate ticketing and smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Enter truck weights into the computer and generate haul tickets
• Provide tickets to drivers and buyers confirming material, quantity, and other haul details
• Add new vehicles and orders/jobs to the system; update overweight permits as required
• Operate the credit-card terminal, print and scan missing tickets
• Complete daily reports and paperwork
• Deliver friendly, helpful customer service to truck drivers and customers
• Assist inside sales with calls when needed
• Cross-train in other operational areas as assigned
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Certified Weigher Certificate (preferred)
• Experience handling money transactions (a plus)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
• Available for weekday overtime and weekend shifts

Physical Requirements

The role involves regular sitting, standing, walking, typing, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Pay

$20 – $22 per hour
