Responsibilities
- Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks while adhering to state weight restrictions
- Communicate effectively over CB radio and handheld two-way radio
- Deliver customer service excellence via telephone, radio, e-mail, face to face, or other means
- Provide directions and assistance to customers and drivers
- Process paperwork, enter information and create standardized reports
- Support the site in the function of time and attendance tracking and mobile equipment fuel/hour reporting
- Handle cash sales
- Keep the work area clean and tidy
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of scale operations
- Knowledge of local geography, truck routes and weight laws (desired, but willing to train)
- Good organizational, decision making and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Command and Oracle a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and work in a construction environment
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
