Scaffold Foreman - Louisiana

Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Scaffold E&D Foreman to join our team. This role requires developing a career track, leveraging current skills, and working with an incredible team.

Responsibilities

• Design various types of scaffolds and order materials as required to maintain work flow.
• Perform all necessary documentations such as delivery/pick up tickets, time sheets, extra work authorizations, safety plans, JSA’s and scaffold inspection checklists, etc.
• Act as a mentor and coach to the Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenters to aid in their development.
• Work with tools and supervise a crew or supervise and direct up to (3) Lead Carpenters, who each run a small crew, to erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding under the supervision of the E&D Foreman 2 or E&D Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffolding.
• Have a good knowledge and understanding of the various types of scaffolding material being used to ensure the intended loads of the scaffolding are not exceeded.
• Be capable of safely and effectively supervising a crew or supervising and directing up to (3) Lead Carpenters, who each run a small crew, to erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding under the supervision of the E&D Foreman 2 or E&D Supervisor.
• Work with the physical demands of the role, including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenter experience or approved equivalent experience
• Trade school preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights
• Bilingual a plus

Qualifications

Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Length of Service Awards are available upon meeting eligibility criteria.
