About the role
Austin Industrial provides premier self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft service to leading industrial companies across the U.S. This position supervises the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures.
Responsibilities
- Work at heights with no fear.
- Determine type of scaffold needed and instruct on proper installation.
- Oversee transport of tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold as instructed.
- Hoist scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structures.
- Properly secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
- Secure scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
- Adhere to all OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating scaffolding.
- Supervise the dismantling of scaffolding when properly communicated.
- Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States (Austin Industrial is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position).
- NCCER Scaffold certification.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- TWIC Card.
- 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.

- Work may involve exposure to weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards.
