Scaffold Builder - Hopewell, VA

About the role

Turner Industries is seeking a Scaffold Builder for a position in Hopewell, VA. This position assembles, positions, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding to job specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness
• Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels
• Positions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place
• Sets up scaffold to permanent structure if required
• Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• One to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Must be local candidate
• Ability to read engineered drawings preferred
• National Certification preferred (may be required by client)
• Written pre-employment qualification test
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Qualifications

• Toolbox, tool belt, adjustable wrench, ratchet wrench with socket, claw hammer, cutting pliers, torpedo level, tape, and rain suit

Pay
