SCADA Specialist

What You'll Be Doing
- Design. Build. Improve. Own and evolve our SCADA platform.
- Lead upgrades, deployments, and technology improvements.
- Standardize systems, troubleshoot issues, and continuously make things better.
- Explore and implement new SCADA and HMI technologies.
- Connect the Business Partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, and producers.
- Support leak detection initiatives and SCADA integration projects.
- Help create clean, consistent, and reliable operational data.
- Develop training materials.
- Guide technical decisions.
- Coordinate with vendors and technology partners.
- Influence how Goodnight's SCADA environment grows in the future.
Requirements
- 5+ years working with Inductive Automation Ignition
- Strong experience with Ignition Perspective
- Familiarity with MQTT, Sparkplug, Modbus, and Node-RED
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux
- Experience troubleshooting and improving industrial automation systems
- Demonstrated experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs in an industrial environment
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems and field instrumentation
- Experience supporting oilfield, midstream, industrial automation, or similar operational environments
Working Conditions
Working conditions are typical of both office and field environments. This role requires regular work in an office setting, along with occasional outdoor work requiring adherence to safety procedures and exposure to varying weather conditions. Frequent use of computers, printers, and other office equipment is required, along with the ability to inspect and review information on a computer screen for extended periods. Candidates must be able to occasionally climb ladders, crawl, crouch, kneel and lift up to 15 pounds. Frequent verbal and written communication is required. Field work may involve adverse driving conditions, inclement weather and exposure to high-pressure water pipelines, moving equipment, hot or cold equipment, elevated noise levels, flammable products, and potentially hazardous chemicals. This position requires occasional overnight travel (up to 10%) to field locations within the United States. Candidates must be willing to work outside normal business hours and maintain a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
