SCADA Engineering Intern

About the role

We are currently seeking a SCADA, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Intern to work in our Lafayette, Louisiana office. This intern will support our Internal Training Program Development for Ignition SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Program PLC, HMI and SCADA applications.
• Test industrial control systems and start up systems in the field.
• Assist in field investigation, start-up and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
• Other duties as assigned by Senior SCADA Engineer and Tetra Tech Project Manager.

Qualifications

Enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an ABET/EAC accredited bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Computer Science (CS) or Chemical Engineering (ChE).

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft™ Office Suite application programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
• Articulate and concise use of written and verbal English language communications.
• Ability to work well in team settings.
• Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to learn and expand your skillset, and be detail-oriented.
