SCADA Engineer

Overview

Handshake is seeking experienced professionals in the energy industry to contribute to AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This role does not follow a traditional employment model. You will leverage your practical experience with industrial operations, plant performance, and energy asset management to assess AI-generated content and offer insights that enhance AI's understanding of operational workflows and engineering practices.

• Remote work with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum weekly commitment; typical participation ranges from 5 to 20 hours per week during active projects.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in industrial operations, plant performance, or energy asset management, including roles such as Plant Performance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, SCADA Engineer, Drilling/Production Engineer, Generation Asset Analyst, or equivalent positions in the energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following tools: AVEVA PI, WinCC, Oracle MDM, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal.
• Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams.
