SC/SVNTP Special Education Contract Mentor - Santa Clara County

About the role

The Santa Cruz/Silicon Valley New Teacher Project (SC/SVNTP) is now accepting applications for contract mentors for the 2026-27 school year. These stipend employees mentor a small number of Induction teachers. We are interested in candidates at both elementary and secondary levels.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Successful experience teaching in a local school district with a diverse student population
• Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience
• Valid California teaching credential
• Experience in the following areas preferred:
• Teaching Multilingual students
• Supporting neurodiverse students
• California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP)
• Adult Learning Theory
• Culturally Responsive Pedagogy
• Use of technology to personalize and advance student learning

To support teachers in clearing their California Preliminary Credential.
