Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Associate Investment Officer supports SBCERA’s investment program by conducting research, monitoring investments, preparing reports, and making recommendations. The role supports the investment team in managing the investment portfolio and ensuring compliance with investment policies and objectives.

About the Role

The Associate Investment Officer will assist in the management of SBCERA’s investment portfolio, providing support to the investment team through research, monitoring, and reporting. They will also contribute to maintaining compliance with established investment policies and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and provide analysis on potential investment opportunities
  • Maintain and monitor existing investment portfolios
  • Prepare regular reports on investment performance and trends
  • Make recommendations for investment strategies based on research and analysis
  • Support the investment team in ensuring compliance with investment policies and objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in investment management or financial services
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of investment principles and practices
  • Experience with financial modeling and valuation techniques
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
