SBC Teller

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Follows established policies and procedures to perform routine teller duties.
• Processes deposits to customer accounts, including verifying cash, endorsements, and providing receipts.
• Cash checks for customers and non-customers.
• Properly records the sale of monetary instruments (e.g., official bank checks).
• Files all government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions and the sale of all monetary instruments.
• Engages in the sales process by identifying potential financial needs and making appropriate referrals to the platform staff.

Basic Administrative Functions

• Prepares and processes cash orders as directed.

Job Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the hours of operation of the Bank.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of keyboard and computer skills.
• Basic arithmetic operations with the use of a calculator.
• Basic business acumen and professionalism.
• Builds strong relationships and alliances across the organization, exceeds customer expectations, adapts to change, is reliable, and highly motivated.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to adapt to new job locations and re-assignments as directed.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Up to one year of teller or cash handling experience with accurate balancing record.
• Customer service experience and/or sales experience preferred.

• Normal business office environment.
