About the role
This position will be responsible for the risk management of the SBA portfolio in accordance with East West Bank and US SBA policies and procedures. Responsibilities
- Monitor, review, and recommend servicing & liquidation action on the existing SBA 7a & 504 portfolio in accordance with SBA’s SOP 50 57 and Bank’s policy
- Analyze financial data to support the risk rating and/or special loan requests
- Support the SBA team by following up on tickler items, delinquent property tax, insurance policy, etc. to ensure compliance with the terms of the loan
- Process loan sales according to the Bank’s procedure and instruction
- Serve as the first line of defense for loans by monitoring the SBA portfolio for signs of credit deterioration and take necessary action to collect on past due loans
- Prepare reports to inform SBA manager, credit supervision, and senior management on the status of the SBA portfolio
- Assist with audits, guarantee purchase packages, and other special projects
- Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries
- Cross-sell deposit, trade, treasury management, foreign exchange, private banking, asset management, and other services
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial banking experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- In-depth knowledge of SBA SOP 50 57 Servicing and Liquidation
- Good knowledge of the financial institution's commercial and consumer lending procedures
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, teamwork orientation, initiative, and self-motivation
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship offered at this time)
Pay
The base pay range for this position is USD $71,000.00/Yr. - USD $110,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
