SBA Lending Manager

Overview

The SBA Manager will oversee the growth, profitability, and management of the Bank's Small Business Administration (SBA) loan portfolio. This role involves working closely with branch partners to originate and manage SBA loans, ensuring quality service, and meeting monthly funding objectives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sales personnel including hiring, performance management, and evaluation
• Ensure quality control within the sales function and verify loan files are forwarded without material errors or missing documentation
• Review and approve SBA loan submissions for compliance with SBA and commercial loan underwriting and eligibility standards
• Identify areas of weakness and provide training to improve efficiency and reduce errors
• Communicate with sales personnel, credit, and operations to meet monthly funding targets
• Research and disseminate procedural changes affecting SBA loan programs
• Partner with branch partners to market SBA loan programs to targeted small businesses and develop strategies for loan origination
• Build strong customer relationships and identify customers suitable for SBA loan products
• Support and focus on achieving sales goals and building revenues and profitability

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics preferred
• 10+ years of Small Business Administration (SBA) 7a and 504 lending experience
• 10+ years of business development and supervisory experience
• Ability to work collaboratively with all team members to achieve business goals
• Knowledge and understanding of Small Business Administration (SBA) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies
• Experience in financial statement and cash flow analysis
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation
• Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $160,000.00/Yr. - USD $230,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
