About the role
The Small Business Banker II proactively deepens relationships with existing Small Business customers within a specified territory, ensuring equal access to banking products and services across all communities, including businesses in low-to-moderate income areas and minority communities.
This role initiates contact with all new Small Business customers by conducting a customer assessment within 30 days of them joining the bank and assigns customers to the proper TD Relationship Manager based on the assessment results.
Responsibilities
- Manages a larger and more complex territory.
- Actively calls all new Small Business customers that have opened accounts in partner stores and completes a customer assessment.
- Engages with assigned Small Business customers to deepen relationships, manage customer service issues, and identify product needs.
- Generates sales and referrals to business partners (RMLM, Merchant, Commercial, Treasury Management, Credit Card, Retail, Wealth) to meet the comprehensive financial needs of Small Businesses.
- Assigns Small Business customers to the proper TD Relationship Manager based on customer parameters.
- Directly manages a group of stores' loan portfolio within the Front End Fulfillment process, responsible for origination, structuring, and closing of all non-RMLM Small Business loan requests.
- Develops Small Business product expertise to properly vet potential product fits for the customer base.
- Collaborates with Stores and Commercial Bank to ensure superior customer service as measured by CWI.
- Manages a portfolio of all loans in the Front End Fulfillment process, including relationship checkups and the renewal process.
- Contributes to Small Business Banking sales and business development objectives by meeting or exceeding individual sales goals.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends.
- Works closely with the Small Business Credit Center and SBB product groups to ensure satisfactory customer response times for new credit applications.
- Reviews reports (e.g., pipelines, dashboards) to ensure accurate and complete reporting, evaluating performance weekly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of related experience.
- Four years of calling and lending or credit support experience at the Small Business level.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed marketing goals.
- Proven ability to understand and analyze personal and business financial statements.

Pay
$29.75 - $44.50 USD per hour. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.
