About the role

The candidate for this position is required to perform daily woodshop area functions. Ability to record receiving data using computer. Schedule, create, and close all the wood department's jobs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory control for the wood department. Verify, count, and organize inventory, providing accurate inventory counts and locations.
• Fulfill department quotas on a daily basis.
• Multitask, structure, and oversee all aspects of the department to insure the quotas are met.
• Maintain company equipment in working order and promote a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
• Follow company's quality controls procedures.
• Insure to follow all company standards, procedures, and direct instructions.
• Aid and work with other company departments to ensure product is produced to company standard and follows distribution channels in a correct and timely manner.

Requirements

• Good understanding and basic knowledge of a woodworking department.
• At least 1+ years experience in the wood working field as a CNC machine operator (or) 1+ years Computer experience with basic format, window's base applications as well as specialized MRP system software, Epicor Vantage.
• Ability to work well with others: A 'team player' attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed.
• Time management skills; strong organizational skills; an ability to juggle multiple tasks; flexible and resourceful.
• Outstanding attention to detail is also recommended.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be able to pass a drug screen

Skills

• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Willing to work some weekends and extended hours in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toe shoes, face shields, and arc protective clothing
