Saw Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Saw Operator to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for cutting orders to meet customer expectations using a variety of saws including abrasive saws, MFL saws, and band saws.

Responsibilities

• Cutting orders to meet customer expectations using abrasive saws, MFL saws, and band saws
• Demonstrating attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Cutting samples of metal
• Operating as necessary to cut off prescribed sections and properly dispose
• Setting up machines, changing blades, cleaning machine, and performing simple machine maintenance as needed
• Reading and interpreting milling instructions (MIs)
• Using tape measure and other measuring devices
• Stamping materials with proper ID and putting slings around finished products
• Maintaining logs and records

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• One (1) year of manufacturing experience preferred

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days; then off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days). Training occurs from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on the same rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.
