Savannah Hiring Event Monogram General Factory Operator

About the Role

As a Monogram Refrigeration, LLC General Factory Operator, you will perform general assembly operations and frequently handle heavy parts. You will work with a team to assemble refrigerators or air conditioners each day. Monogram Refrigeration, LLC is an affiliate of GE Appliances, a Haier Company.

Location: Selmer, TN

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a departmental team, repetitively operating air/electrical power hand tools and assembling/installing component parts with fasteners.
• Maintain basic housekeeping, including sweeping and using electronic cleaning equipment.
• Complete tasks and duties assigned by the department supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, guidelines, and employee expectations.
• Follow all plant safety rules, guidelines, and expectations.
• Follow standard work and complete tasks within takt time.
• Perform physical tasks including frequent handling and lifting of parts and equipment (up to 54 lbs), standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, and fine motor dexterity.
• Occasionally sit, reach overhead, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs/ladders, pivot, and twist.
• Work with parts/equipment that may be hot and/or wet.
• Work in a loud or noisy environment (70 to 90 dBA).
• Tolerate heights in excess of six (6) feet.
• Perform associated and other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must read, write, and follow written instructions.
• Must be able to perform duties within a prescribed time limit and wear safety glasses while observing all safety rules.
• Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without accommodation, including frequent handling and lifting of parts and equipment (up to 54 lbs), standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, and fine motor dexterity.
• Requires working with chemicals.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of assembly manufacturing experience, OR
• Three months of successful experience manufacturing refrigerators, OR
• Certified Production Technician Certificate.
