Satellite Operations Controller

About the role

The Satellite Operations Controller position supports the Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program, providing satellite support services to a mission-critical Government customer. This role involves real-time on-orbit support, launch ascent support, and end-of-life operations for all NOPS supported operations.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing voice, messaging, and data communications for multiple-satellite programs of varying priorities and classifications.
  • Configuration and monitoring of displays for computer and network equipment during normal mission operations.
  • Multi-program coordination and scheduling using custom software tools.
  • Determination of any anomalous conditions and providing corrective actions as required.
  • Generation of downtime reports and other associated documentation for operational outages.
  • Support to various operations status, engineering review, and problem boards.
  • Identification of areas of concern, issues, inefficiencies, and other non-value-added activities, as well as provided recommended solutions, as appropriate.
  • Supporting site operations to ensure quality, safety, and compliance requirements are maintained as described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS)/Statement of Work (SOW), site specific Occupational Safety and Health Administration publications, and local/state policies/regulations.
  • Supporting the FROST Managers to maintain a collaborative relationship with the Prime and government customer.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship required.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of related experience with Satellite Operations, including military or civilian training and experience.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with a POLY clearance.
  • Must be willing to work shifts as required to support mission operations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
