Who We Are Looking For: Passionate educators to join our team as SAT/ACT instructors. Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching in a Math, Science, or English classroom and a strong interest in test preparation. SAT/ACT test preparation is strongly preferred. We are especially interested in educators who have experience teaching test-preparation strategies, working with official test-preparation materials, and helping students build both content knowledge and test-taking confidence. Our comprehensive curriculum and training provide strong support, but candidates with prior SAT/ACT instructional experience will be best positioned to thrive in this role. Educators who are adaptable, collaborative, and eager to support student growth will be a strong fit for our team. We also welcome applications from experienced SAT/ACT tutors with a strong track record of results. Marigold tutors are integral to reaching and retaining students through high-quality instruction, consistent communication, and professionalism. In addition to tutoring, Marigold tutors are encouraged to take advantage of curriculum development, content creation, and leadership opportunities. Sunday availability required. What You'll Do:Deliver high-quality, one-on-one instruction to students via Zoom from a quiet and consistent workspaceUse paid prep time to develop personalized lesson plans based on Marigold Prep’s curriculum and resourcesOversee the schedules and goals of multiple students simultaneously with the support of Marigold leadership teamProvide detailed, written session updates for families in our online portal within 24 hours of a completed sessionParticipate in paid team meetings and trainings 1-2 times per monthSchedule and deliver a 15-minute progress update to private tutoring parents once per monthProvide an updated weekly calendar to Marigold leadership team at the beginning of each monthRepresent Marigold Prep with the highest professionalism at all times Our Ideal Candidates Have:Bachelor’s required, Masters preferredSunday availability requiredAt least 3 years of teaching or tutoring experienceAbility to tutor for both the SAT and ACT, with a demonstrated ability to score in the 99th percentile on either testAbility to tutor some Advanced Placement subjects strongly preferredFluency in EnglishFluency in Google Suite and relevant business tools required for remote workSunday availability required Compensation:Starting pay is a base of $45/hr + a bonus structure of $25/hr based on student success and retention (up to $70/hr total starting pay for hours that include bonus). With scheduled raises and retention bonuses, there is an ~18-month path to $60/hr base + $25/hr bonus = up to $85/hr.
