SAS Clinical And R Programmer

About the Role

We are seeking a SAS Clinical and R Programmer for a long-term remote contract position with one of our premium clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, and modify SAS and R macros to analyze and evaluate clinical data under moderate guidance.
• Create new R Dashboards using R Shiny.
• Plan, write, and execute statistical programs in SAS and R to analyze data from databases.
• Produce tables, listings, and figures, and assess data accuracy and consistency.
• Apply extensive knowledge and skills; may act as lead programmer on project team(s).
• Develop SAS macros and compare them with R programming as part of migration activities from SAS to R.
• Compare SAS and R functions such as Transpose, Sort, Groupby, Arrange, Sequence, and Slice.
• Work with various file types, including .CSV, Excel, and delimited files.
• Use a variety of parameters for creating dashboards in R and validate R packages.
• Publish R dashboards and validate and document the SAS macro library.
• May supervise one or two lower-level programmers and provide performance feedback.
• Explore new programming technology, test, document, and integrate software tools into programming procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve difficult problems creatively, taking new perspectives on existing solutions.
• Translate technical knowledge into business strategy.
• Lead internal/external teams and build professional relationships.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with different R packages.
• Experience developing SAS macros and comparing them with R programming.
• Familiarity with various file types such as .CSV, Excel, and delimited files.
