About the role

AdvancesSix is seeking a seasoned SAP Supply Chain Solution Architect to join the Enterprise Platforms team under the Digital Transformation & Technology (DTT) organization. This role serves as the primary product owner for Supply Chain planning and execution processes, with end-to-end accountability for BUILD and RUN of SAP S/4HANA solutions supporting MRP, demand planning, inventory management, and manufacturing supply execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for Supply Chain execution and planning needs, partnering closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Planning business leaders.
  • Serve as the SAP product owner for MRP, inventory management, material master, demand and supply planning, and manufacturing execution processes.
  • Represent DTT in extended functional forums, working closely with Super Users, Plant leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Translate business challenges into scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions while enforcing standardization and design discipline.
  • Lead BUILD and RUN activities for SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain modules, including:
    • MRP & Demand Planning/Forecasting/Scheduling
    • Inventory Management (IM)
    • Material Master & Planning Data
    • Manufacturing Integration (PP/MM touchpoints)
  • Own stabilization of MRP behavior, stock imbalances, planning exceptions, ATP issues, and master data quality gaps.
  • Drive incident and problem management with a strong root cause and prevention mindset, not just ticket resolution.
  • Establish and maintain clear operating procedures, functional playbooks, and escalation paths for Supply Chain processes.
  • Ensure batch jobs, planning runs, and integration points execute reliably and meet business SLAs.
  • Partner with AMS providers to ensure quality delivery, accountability, and knowledge continuity.
  • Enforce clean core principles, minimizing custom code and advocating for standard S/4HANA capabilities.
  • Govern configuration, transport discipline, and design decisions impacting planning, inventory, and execution.
  • Ensure functional designs are robust, supportable, and compliant, especially in a SOX-controlled environment.
  • Collaborate with Master Data, Finance, and OTC counterparts to prevent downstream impacts from upstream planning issues.
  • Support audit and compliance activities related to inventory valuation, controls, and process integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planner effectiveness, inventory turns, service levels, and plant execution reliability.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across planning accuracy, demand signals, and supply execution.
  • Support upgrades, enhancements, and innovation initiatives aligned with business priorities and S/4HANA roadmap including but not limited to leveraging Ariba, Signavio, Joule AI, LeanIX and other SAP applications.
  • Drive adoption through training, documentation, and close engagement with Super Users.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on SAP experience across Supply Chain and Planning areas (MM, PP, MRP, APO, IM).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chain processes and planning dependencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident, problem, and application lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications include experience in chemical manufacturing or regulated industrial environments, SAP S/4HANA certifications in MM, PP, or related modules, exposure to demand planning tools and advanced planning concepts, experience working with offshore AMS teams and system integrators, knowledge of enterprise architecture or governance frameworks, proven experience supporting S/4HANA implementation, stabilization, and RUN operations.
