SAP SD Functional Analyst
Our client in San Diego, CA is seeking an SAP SD Business Analyst to serve as the subject-matter expert on SAP Sales & Distribution and its integration with other SAP modules such as FI/CO.
About the role
You will collaborate with developers and functional IT analysts to identify and design software solutions based on system specifications. The role involves researching tools, documenting standards, defining technology strategy, evaluating and recommending solutions, and designing complex business requirements. You will also provide hands-on assistance, training, and technical development to software developers and engineers.
This position requires anticipating future business needs and designing for extensibility while working within a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Research, evaluate, and recommend software tools and technologies
- Document patterns, standards, and technology strategies
- Design solutions for complex business requirements
- Work closely with software developers and engineers through hands-on assistance, training, and technical development
- Define and articulate technology strategy and architecture
- Anticipate future business needs and design for appropriate extensibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP SD with other modules (FI, MM, PP)
- Develop and implement complex applications that effectively solve business needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of relevant SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) experience
- Expert knowledge of the SAP SD module with a strong understanding of integration points with FI, MM, and PP
- Experience with BI reporting, queries, and data cubes
- Solid understanding of multiple platforms, including SAP, Salesforce, EDI, Java Enterprise, and Cloud architectures
- Strong experience with integration and middleware technologies and frameworks
- Proven ability to design and implement complex applications efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and lead projects
- Ability to articulate change implications for processes or system solutions
- Strong understanding of software development standards and processes
- Experience developing innovative approaches for complex designs
- Experience with S/4 Hana (preferred)
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
