About the role
As a SAP MDG Product Manager, you will maintain and develop the MDG functionality for Leo Production Systems keeping in mind requirements from customers and other stakeholders. This role will be responsible for building a long-term data Master Data Governance System aimed at improving process efficiency and master data accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Build SAP MDG based product vision and solutions
- Identify and implement best practices to optimize business processes using SAP and champion utility, intuitiveness, and simplicity of process/product
- Conduct Blueprint workshops, fit-gap analysis, and produce detailed design documents reasoning from core needs and challenging assumptions
- Identify change management and training needs, support creating training documentation, and lead train-the-trainer sessions for product changes
- Participate in strategic planning and roadmap discussions for SAP MDG solutions, including contributions to Amazon’s 1-year to 3-year annual planning
- Manage quarterly planning, sprint planning, and deployment for product feature enhancements, focusing on business value and impact
- Define critical metrics including success metrics, product adoption, and data-driven insights for product improvement
- Prepare product design, functional specifications, configure, test, and support implementation for all SAP RICEFW areas
- Build and support integration with cross-workstream processes - SAP PP, EWM, MM, SAP MES system
- Support SAP Production system for ticket resolutions, business support needs, and identifying product improvement opportunities
- Enable seamless integration of MDG with SAP S/4HANA, MM, EWM, QM, PP, Finance, and non-SAP systems, ensuring reliable data distribution and consistency
- Govern the material lifecycle by enforcing standardization, harmonization, and compliance across all stages of material master data management
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience representing and advocating for critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP MDG configuration experience with a minimum of 2 full end-to-end implementations, preferably in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on Material Master
- Experience implementing and supporting SAP MDG solutions, including data modeling, governance frameworks, and workflow configuration
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and master data lifecycle processes
- Experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA and core modules such as MM, PP, EWM, QM, and Finance
- Hands-on experience with BRF+, workflow design, change request management, and data replication frameworks
- Experience troubleshooting data issues, workflow errors, and integration challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience
- Knowledge of SAP systems (e.g., SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Experience managing relationships with SAP customers and partners
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud ERP, and Cloud ERP Private
- Experience in SAP clean core design concepts, including design and build using non-SAP technologies in domains such as Generative/Agentic AI, and data & analytics
Pay
- USA, NY, New York: $169,000.00 - $228,600.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
