About the role

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship—it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

As an SAP iXp Intern – Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will:

  • Work on cutting-edge AI innovation, leveraging the latest frontier models, terminal agents, and AI harnesses.
  • Implement new AI prototypes and conduct research in collaboration with Stanford and Silicon Valley AI startups.
  • Engage in fine-tuning models, continued pre-training, reinforcement learning, and developing benchmarks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop rich applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across various geographies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively.
  • Contribute to real engineering and AI initiatives that explore the future of enterprise technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field.
  • Currently enrolled (with at least one semester or grading period completed before the internship commences) or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or JD/PhD program.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one programming language (preferably Python or Java).
  • Strong familiarity with agentic engineering, terminal agents, and coding harnesses.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, project-driven environment with a focus on lifelong learning.

Pay

The hourly base salary range for this position is $31.00 - $62.00. The actual amount offered will depend on education, skills, experience, scope of the role, and location.

Schedule

Expected duration: October 2026 – March 2027.

About the team

The Research & Innovation team in Silicon Valley explores and prototypes emerging technologies foundational for SAP and its customers. The team works in an agile, cross-functional way across engineering, product, and external collaboration. Current work spans enterprise AI and developer productivity, including model development, benchmarking, collaboration with academic institutions (e.g., Stanford and UCI), and support for context-rich workflows grounded in SAP.
