SAP IS-U Consultant

About the role

The Infosys SURE unit specializes in guiding businesses within the services, utilities, energy, and resources sectors through digital transformation. You will work on transformative projects that shape the future of these critical industries, collaborating with industry experts and developing resilient strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in stakeholder interviews and workshops, capturing and documenting user needs for ERP implementation projects
• Participate in discussions between stakeholders and the design team, to understand technical solutions
• Develop and refine codes to customize and integrate ERP packages, by following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements
• Perform data migration activities by mapping data fields and executing data cleansing under prescribed guidance, for uninterrupted integration
• Conduct and document compliance checks against defined guidelines, to ensure ERP systems align with industry standards and security protocols
• Draft clear and concise documentation detailing steps followed for ERP package customization, to support user training for the team

Requirements

• Experience in the utility industry (Power, Water, Gas, District Heating) as: Operations/Field Engineer, Billing Analyst, Metering Specialist, Customer Service/Back-office Associate, SAP end user in metering, billing, or payment processes
• Strong interest in building a career in SAP IS U
• Basic understanding of utility business processes such as: Metering, Billing, energy consumption, payments, collections, customer services etc
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset
• Team player with a proactive, learning-driven attitude
• Exposure to SAP (any module) such as MM, SD, PM, CRM, or FICO as: End user, Power user, Support analyst
• Familiarity with meter-to-cash (M2C) processes
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., AMI, smart metering, regulatory norms)

Preferred Skills

• Strong Client Facing experience, great communication and presentations skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
• Three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
