Education and Experience

- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in SAP technical development with a focus on interface design and implementation using SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite (BTP), IDocs, BAPIs, and web service-based integration technologies. - Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting federal government clients or operating within regulated, defense, or classified IT environments. - Demonstrated proficiency in ABAP development as it applies to interface and integration scenarios including function modules, user exits, BAdIs, proxy objects, and enhancement framework components. - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills

- Deep technical expertise in SAP interface development using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, ALE/EDI, Function Modules, and ABAP proxy objects. - Hands-on experience designing and building integrations using SAP Process Integration (PI), Process Orchestration (PO), or SAP Integration Suite (BTP) including channel configuration, adapter setup, and message mapping. - Proficiency in ABAP programming as it applies to interface development including user exits, BAdIs, enhancement spots, and custom function module development. - Experience with web service-based integration patterns including SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON data exchange between SAP and external systems. - Strong understanding of SAP data models and business object structures across multiple functional modules (FI, MM, PP, SD, HCM) as they relate to interface design. - Experience performing end-to-end interface testing, error analysis, and production monitoring across complex multi-system integration landscapes. - Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and data protection requirements including NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP as they apply to system-to-system data exchange. - Ability to produce clear and precise technical documentation including interface specifications, mapping documents, and operations runbooks. - Experience working within federal or classified IT environments with adherence to strict network security, data classification, and change management protocols.

Desired Skills

- SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP with SAP NetWeaver or SAP Integration Suite certification. - Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration scenarios including OData services, SAP BTP API Management, and event-driven integration using SAP Event Mesh. - Familiarity with MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or comparable enterprise integration platforms used in federal hybrid integration architectures. - Experience designing and operating interfaces within air-gapped or classified network environments, including handling of cross-domain data transfer requirements. - Knowledge of federal data standards and exchange frameworks including NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) or agency-specific data dictionaries. - Prior experience on DOE, DOD, or other federal agency SAP integration programs operating within classified or sensitive compartmented environments.
