Job Summary
This contractor role will support Supply Chain Planning activities with a focus on SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP), production planning, demand/supply alignment, and planning data integrity. The contractor will partner with Manufacturing, Commercial, Clinical, Materials Management, and Product Supply Chain teams to maintain executable plans, identify risks, and support structured decision-making across planning forums.
Responsibilities
- Support supply planning activities in SAP IBP, including demand/supply review, scenario analysis, supply commits, and exception management.
- Create, maintain, and analyze supply plans that support commercial, clinical, and non-GMP manufacturing requirements.
- Translate demand signals, inventory targets, capacity constraints, and manufacturing assumptions into feasible planning outputs.
- Partner with Operations to ensure required production is planned, scheduled, and executed to support on-time, in-full delivery.
- Develop rough-cut capacity views, finite scheduling inputs, and planning scenarios to support manufacturing and supply decisions.
- Identify supply risks, capacity gaps, inventory constraints, and data issues; escalate with clear options and recommended actions.
- Participate in daily and weekly planning forums, including Tier meetings, S&OE, and cross-functional supply review discussions.
- Maintain and validate planning master data in SAP and SAP IBP, including materials, locations, planning parameters, lead times, and related attributes.
- Support item lifecycle and master data change processes, including input gathering, approval routing, implementation, and obsolescence activities.
- Build and maintain planning metrics, dashboards, and analytical views that track supply plan health, schedule adherence, inventory position, and planning data quality.
- Support ad hoc analysis for launch planning, budget cycles, reforecasting, supply risk assessments, and scenario planning.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of supply chain planning experience, including hands-on experience with SAP IBP and SAP planning/master data processes. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or another regulated manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
