SAP HANA DBA Consultant
About the role
The role involves providing operational support for SAP S/4HANA systems in both secure and non-secure environments. Key responsibilities include system maintenance, performance optimization, upgrades, deployments, and future release activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide SAP HANA DBA support for SAP S/4HANA systems in both secure and non-secure environments.
- Maintain, monitor, and optimize SAP HANA database performance, availability, and stability.
- Support SAP HANA High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments, including system replication, failover testing, and recovery activities.
- Perform database troubleshooting, performance analysis, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Support system upgrades, maintenance activities, release deployments, and production support operations.
- Collaborate with SAP Basis, infrastructure, security, development, and functional teams to support system operations and project delivery.
- Support testing, deployment, cutover, and post-deployment validation activities.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen by birth with no dual citizenship.
- Must be based in the St. Louis, MO area, the Philadelphia, PA area, or be willing to travel weekly to St. Louis or Philadelphia (Monday-Thursday) for full-time, onsite work.
- SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Deep SAP HANA Database Administration expertise supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Understanding of SAP HANA architecture, performance optimization, and High Availability / Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) environments.
- Experience with SAP HANA performance tuning, SQL analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting SAP HANA System Replication, failover, recovery, and HA/DR operations.
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA production environments, maintenance activities, and release deployments.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- SAP Basis administration experience.
- Experience supporting secure environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
Qualifications
- Must be based in the St. Louis, MO area, the Philadelphia, PA area, or be willing to travel weekly to St. Louis or Philadelphia (Monday-Thursday) for full-time, onsite work.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database administration.
- Proficiency in SQL and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SAP HANA High Availability and Disaster Recovery environments.
- Ability to perform database performance tuning and root cause analysis.
- Experience with SAP HANA system replication, failover, and recovery.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA production environments and release deployments.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience with SAP Basis administration.
- Experience working in secure environments.
- Experience with large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
