SAP BTP Solution Architect

About the role

This is a leadership role within TCS Enterprise Solutions Unit (ESU) involving proactive value creation, digital transformation advisory, and enterprise architecture leadership. We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-grade SAP transformation programs leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The architect will define strategic roadmaps, enable Clean Core adoption, modernize SAP landscapes, and deliver scalable cloud-native solutions across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• BTP Strategy & Enterprise Architecture
  • Define enterprise-wide SAP BTP architecture, roadmap, governance, and adoption strategy.
  • Develop end-to-end architecture and technical strategy for SAP BTP transformation programs.
  • Design extension architectures aligned with SAP Clean Core principles for S/4HANA.
  • Establish architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices for enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Drive SAP modernization and innovation initiatives leveraging cloud-native architectures.
• Application Development & Extensions
  • Architect side-by-side extensions using SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Node.js, Java, SAP Fiori/UI5, and SAP Build Applications.
  • Design scalable and reusable extension frameworks on SAP BTP.
  • Lead development teams in building secure, cloud-native applications and services.
• Integration Architecture
  • Lead enterprise integration strategy using SAP Integration Suite.
  • Architect API-led, event-driven, and hybrid integration solutions.
  • Define integration patterns utilizing SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP API Management, SAP Event Mesh, and SAP Open Connectors.
  • Architect integrations between SAP and non-SAP platforms including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Azure, Maximo, and third-party SaaS solutions.
• Data, Analytics & AI
  • Guide enterprise data architecture using SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud.
  • Design analytics and reporting solutions leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Define data governance and semantic modeling strategies.
  • Drive adoption of SAP AI services and AI-powered business processes.
  • Enable intelligent business applications leveraging generative AI and machine learning capabilities within SAP BTP.
• Security, Governance & DevOps
  • Establish governance, security, compliance, and operational standards for SAP BTP environments.
  • Define CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and deployment strategies.
  • Ensure enterprise security compliance and data governance requirements are met.
  • Drive scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Mentor architects, developers, and technical leads across global delivery teams.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and enforce architectural governance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, SAP functional teams, and hyperscaler partners.
  • Lead executive workshops, solution reviews, and transformation roadmap discussions.
  • Support proposal development, solution estimation, pre-sales activities, and strategic client engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 14+ years of experience in SAP architecture and enterprise solution design.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience with SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, CAP, and extension frameworks.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and Clean Core strategy.
• Strong expertise in SAP Integration Suite, API Management, and Event Mesh.
• Experience with SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), Open Connectors, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating SAP with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Azure, and other SaaS applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP BTP Solution Architect Certification.
• SAP Integration Suite Certification.
• SAP Extension Suite Certification.
• TOGAF or Enterprise Architecture Certification.
• Azure/AWS/GCP Cloud Architect Certifications.
• Experience with SAP AI Core, Joule, SAP Build Process Automation, and AI-enabled SAP solutions.

Pay

$224,400-$303,600 a year
