About the role

Work closely with the Business Systems Analyst team to determine optimal solutions addressing functional requirements. Translate requirements and functional specifications into technical specifications documentation. Design, develop, and maintain a diverse set of SAP objects based on business needs. Conduct design reviews and code reviews as per established SDLC guidelines. Proactively monitor and support the production landscape to address issues.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP analysis, design, and programming developing custom SAP solutions.
• Relevant work experience supporting Operations functional area is a plus.
• Proficiency in conventional ABAP development tools and techniques including but not limited to:
  • Classic ABAP programming
  • ABAP Workbench
  • ABAP Objects
  • IDocs
  • SAPScripts
  • Smartforms
  • Web-Dynpro
  • Web Services
  • Workflows
  • User Exits / BADIs / Enhancements
• Hands-on experience with ABAP on HANA, Core Data Services (CDS), and AMDP.
• Knowledge of RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) is an advantage.
• Working experience in SAPUI5, Fiori, and Screen Personas is a plus (not mandatory).
• Deep understanding of SAP Authorizations.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Ability to debug, tune, and optimize programs for performance.
• SAP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a related field.
• Ability to create estimates based on different levels of specifications at various project stages.
• Ability to work through and accomplish tasks within estimated time targets.
• Strong documentation skills to explain and escalate issues appropriately to management.
• Ability to design smart technical solutions for diverse business process requirements.
• Experience in understanding functional specifications and converting them into technical specifications and code.
• Conduct reviews of functional and technical designs.
• Experience working in a distributed multiple SAP systems landscape.
• Knowledge of the following SAP modules is desirable:
  • Materials Management
  • Production Planning
  • Logistics Execution
  • Sales and Distribution

Location: Santa Clara, CA (Local candidates preferred). Duration: 6 months with possible extension.
