Sanitor
Essential Responsibilities
- Cleans equipment and work areas for production.
- Disassembles and reassembles pumps, pipes, and other equipment.
- Preflights equipment before production use.
- Lubricates production equipment as necessary.
- Cleans equipment and work area promptly.
- Identifies and safely works around hazards like electrical panels and moving conveyors.
- Works efficiently with a team to prepare the production line and minimize downtime.
- Completes required paperwork, such as crew sheets and downtime reports.
SCOPE OF POSITION: Employee responsibilities include disassembly, reassembly, preflighting, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment and work areas. This position also involves identifying and managing workplace hazards, teamwork, and documentation.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. One to two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in food manufacturing, is preferred. Strong understanding of chemical usage and safety protocols is essential.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required. Safety gear including safety glasses, hair/beard nets, hearing protection, and safety-toed boots is provided. Climbing stairs and working in confined spaces is part of the job. Work conditions include wet, hot, and cold environments, as well as exposure to chemicals and flammable materials. Shifts may involve standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and pushing.
