Sanitation Worker - United Center

About the role

The United Center is the largest arena in the United States and is located near the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. It hosts concerts, other events, and is home to the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned offices and conference rooms (trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping).
• Deep clean restaurants, banquet areas, all-inclusive clubs, and concession stands before and after events.
• Strip, clean, and buff floors as needed.
• Drain, clean, and refill fryers; dispose of used oil properly.
• Clean hood systems, beer lines, ice makers, soft-serve machines, and floor drains.
• Sanitize equipment and countertops, move equipment for cleaning when necessary.
• Set and position floor mats.
• Assist with restocking and organizing supply areas.
• Support cleaning prep for city and state inspections.
• Report daily to the housekeeping supervisor for assignments.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Basic reading and communication skills; able to follow instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Professional interaction with team members, management, and clients.
