Responsibilities
- Contributes to Evolution Fresh success by ensuring all production equipment is properly cleaned and the facility meets all Food Regulatory Standards.
- Detail cleaning of processing equipment including production utensils, tanks, conveyors, overhead pipes, cooling units, walls, floors, drains, ceiling etc.
- Maintains outside waste area and perimeter.
- Uses the 7 steps to effective wet wash during cleaning to maintain Food Safety and Pest Control.
- Complies with all company and quality policies and chemical and safety procedures.
- May be required to assemble and disassemble processing equipment.
- Works in a timely manner to return production areas and equipment back to production.
- Transports trash and other waste for disposal.
- Able to communicate problems or concerns with appropriate personnel.
- Wears all proper protective equipment during sanitation cleaning.
- May be required to become certified in forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, or electric pallet jack certification.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School/GED or one to two years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experience.
- Knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety and Sanitation Procedures.
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Standard Cleaning Methods.
- Willing to learn and adhere to proper procedures in safety when working with moving machinery.
- Willing to accept change and work in a team-based environment.
- Understand Lock out tag out procedures.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing a plus.
- Must have good attendance.
- Excellent oral & written communications skills.
- Good planning & organizational skills.
- Ability to make decisions / good problem-solving skills.
- Great listening skills and can follow instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of sanitation equipment and tools.
- Must be flexible with schedule, as shift times could change, weekends and overtime may be required or part of the normal work schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- May be required to become certified in forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, or electric pallet jack certification.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. in an occasional manner.
- Must be able to grasp with fingers and hand for extended periods of time in a repetitive motion.
- Must be able to use 3-points of contact when climbing or descending stairs.
- Must be able to stoop, bend at knees, and/or crouch in a repetitive manner.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in environmental exposure including, but not limited to, freezer and noisy, cold, wet, or humid conditions of 34°F or below.
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic, and/or caustic chemicals.
- Occasional material exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
