Specific Accountabilities
- Learn, practice, and adhere to all written current good manufacturing processes (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as they apply to cleaning and sanitizing of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and all general areas
- Learn, practice, and adhere to all Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
- Read, understand, and follow manufacturers directions for all chemicals used in the process of sanitizing manufacturing equipment
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to safeguard against exposure to chemicals, electrical hazards, and eye and ear hazards
- Maintains daily logs directly associated with specifically assigned areas, and report any deviations to the Manager
- Affords assistance with various bathroom duties (i.e.: excessive water clean-up, replacing light bulbs, re-filling toilet seat covers, spot check and clean restrooms as needed, monitor lunch/break room area and clean as necessary throughout the process of normal operating hours)
- Maintain the facility and grounds (i.e.: weeding, trash removal, and overall cleanliness of area outside building, including snow removal) on a daily basis and responsible for maintaining the appropriate logs, report any deviations to the Manager
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment to ensure efficiency, employee safety, and product integrity
- Demonstrate good judgment by reacting to unsafe acts or conditions immediately by making them safe or reporting them to those who can correct them
- Work in other areas, as needed
Qualifications
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
- Able to tolerate working in a cold, wet, and humid environment
- Able to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Able to work as part of a team to complete tasks and reach the targets set for the team
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
